How notifications work
QueueBuzz notifies customers at two points: when they join the queue, and when they're close to being called. No account or app install is required on the customer's side.
Turning notifications off
If you'd rather manage the queue verbally in-store, you can disable customer notifications entirely from the same settings page. Customers will still see their live position on the queue page.
iPhone & iPad limitations
Apple's Safari only allows push alerts (sound & vibration) for sites added to the Home Screen — it can't send them to a regular browser tab. On iOS, customers who want the "Buzz" alert need to:
- Tap Safari's Share button and choose Add to Home Screen.
- Launch QueueBuzz from that Home Screen icon (not Safari) to activate alerts.
Without this step, iOS customers can still see their live position updating on the page — they just won't get a sound or vibration when they're called.
